CONNECTING STUDENTS

HEAR MISAEL’S STORY

Meliha,
a mom in South Dakota

Meliha has seven children who rely on internet access to do their school work, especially when schools have closed due to winter storms. She is grateful that both ACP and Lifeline benefits have made home internet more affordable for her family. “I am so thankful for ACP because when schools have been canceled, my kids can still get online and do the homework that is assigned to them.”

Ms. Linh,
a mom in Philadelphia

Ms. Linh has a family of 5, including 3 children who are in school. Her eldest child is in college and would often have to stay at school long hours or commute to school on the weekends to do homework because of the low internet speed in their home. After enrolling in ACP, the family was not only able to save money on their internet bill, but also increase their internet capacity so that their 3 children could do schoolwork at home.

Supporting Seniors

HEAR JENNIFER’S STORY

Mr. Van,
a senior in Philadelphia

Mr. Van was able to get a new internet plan for free after signing up with ACP. He relies on Social Security and about half his income goes toward his rent each month. This extra money has helped him be able to spend more money on food and other necessities.

Ms. Ruby,
a senior in rural West Tennessee

Ms. Ruby is 82 years old and was able to get internet at home for the first time after a local organization helped her sign up for ACP. “I am so glad I was able to get this discount for the internet. Now I want to get a tablet!”

Ahora mi hijo puede seguir estudiando y aprendiendo para la escuela.”

Jazzmine,
a nail technician in Detroit

Jazzmine was able to sign up for a faster internet plan after applying her ACP credit. “As a young adult, I know firsthand the importance of having access to high-speed internet. Now I can use my computer and stream TV shows at the same time, and I have a reliable service to contact my clients.”
